Probate Inventory of Assets
- All states require an inventory of assets form completed and submitted in a probate case concerning wills and conservatorships. This allows the court to know what assets are in the estate before will distribution and preserve assets and prevent waste of assets.
- Include non-cash items on the asset inventory. Some of these include real property, art collections, jewelry and automobiles.
- Include the current balance of all checking accounts, saving accounts, certificate of deposits, stock accounts, and IRAs in your inventory.
