How to Pay Speeding Tickets in Washington State
- 1). Telephone the District Court for the county in which you received the speeding ticket. Specifically, you want to speak with someone in the tickets or traffic citations division. The number for the District Court should be listed on the court's website or on the back of your citation.
Provide the court clerk with valid credit card information. She will then process your payment to cover the cost of your speeding ticket. - 2). Visit the District Court in person to pay your ticket. Submit your payment to the court clerk with cash, credit card or money order. Depending upon the court, checks may or may not be accepted.
- 3). Pay your speeding ticket through the mail. There should be information listed on the back of your citation, indicating where payments should be mailed.
- 4). Pay your speeding ticket through a payment plan if you are unable to pay the full amount of the ticket all at once. To establish a payment plan, call or visit the District Court for the county in which you received the ticket.
- 5). Pay your speeding ticket online through the District Court's website. Not all District Courts will have this option available. Contact the court clerk to determine whether or not online payment is an option.
