Federal Elected Officials

• 1). Log on to the U.S. Government's official web portal at USA.gov.
  
  
• 2). Place your cursor over the "Contact Government" button without clicking. This button is under the header on the right side of the page beneath the phone number. A three-panel box will open as you hover your cursor over it.
  
  
• 3). Click "Elected Officials" in the list on the center panel. This selection sends you to the "Contact Government" page.
  
  
• 4). Choose the category corresponding to the elected official you'd like to locate from the list on the left side of the page. Choices include State Legislators, U.S. Representatives, U.S. Senate, and others. Locate any elected official by navigating from this page.
  
  

Local Elected Officials

• 1). Click the "State Legislators" link on the "Contact Government" page. This will send you to the "Elected Officials" page.
  
  
• 2). Scroll down to the bottom of the page. In the lower right is the subheading, "Directories."
  
  
• 3). Click the "Local Elected Officials" link in the list beneath "Directories." This will send you to the "Local Elected Officials" page.
  
  
• 4). Enter your ZIP code and four-digit suffix in the boxes on the upper left, where prompted. Then click the "Go" button to the right of the boxes. This will take you to a page with links to the local municipalities associated with your ZIP code, such as county and city.
  
  
• 5). Click on the municipality you wish. This will take you to a page with a list of all pertinent elected officials, their phone numbers, email addresses and websites, where applicable.
  
  

State Elected Officials

• 1). Click the "State Legislators" link on the "Contact Government" page. This will send you to the Elected Officials page on Congress.org.
  
  
• 2). Enter your ZIP code and four-digit suffix in the boxes on the upper left, where prompted. Then click the "Go" button to the right of the boxes. You will be sent to a page that has a list of all federal and state elected officials associated with that ZIP code.
  
  
• 3). Click on the name of the elected official you wish to locate to be sent to her page. This page will have the official's name and photo, and between these will be seven tabs offering different information. The second tab from the left reads "Contact."
  
  
• 4). Click the "Contact" tab. This tab shows a link to the official's website as well as the address and phone numbers to his main offices. You can click another link to find secondary offices on some legislator's "Contact" pages.
