Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada, is the country's first national park. It began as a 26-square-kilometer hot springs reserve and has since been expanded to include 6,641 square kilometers of land in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Each year, millions of tourists go to Banff to take in the views of Lake Louise, Sunshine Meadows and Icefield Parkways. - Tunnel Mountain Campground is within 2.5km of downtown Banff. Food and laundry services are nearby. This large campground has three sections--Village I, Village II and Trailer Court. Village I includes 618 non-serviced sites that are open from May through October. Village II includes 188 power-only sites that are open year-round. Trailer Court offers 321 full-service sites open from May through October. The campground theater hosts interpretive programs during the summer for guests to learn about the wildlife and nature of Banff National Park.

The accommodations are named for Paradise Valley and Paradise Creek, both of which are accessible by hiking trails. Guests can choose to stay in a private cabin or a lodge suite. Cabins have been modernized since they were built in the 1930s. The lodges feature one- and two-bedroom suites, some with a kitchen and others without. The family-owned and operated Paradise Lodge and Bungalows is known for its landscaping and flower gardens around the lodges and cabins.
