How to Find Internet Business Owners
- 1). Search the business website for a page titled "About," "Contact" or something similar. These are common names for pages where business owners provide contact information. Use the information on these pages to contact the owner if possible.
- 2). Enter the business's Web domain in a "who is" database (see Resources). The database may provide the name of the business owner, along with contact information.
- 3). Attempt to contact the business owner using the information from Step 2. You may reach his Web-hosting provider instead, since some Web hosts protect the customers' privacy by entering their company's contact information when registering a domain.
- 4). Contact the secretary of state if you know what state the business is based in. The secretary of state can help you find out which state body (if not the secretary of state's office) has publicly available contact information for business owners.
