Recording Instructions for a Harman Kardon CDR 20
- 1). Turn on the Harman Kardon CDR 20 by pressing the power button in the lower left corner of the unit. Wait a few moments for the unit to start up.
- 2). Insert a blank CD-R disc or CD-RW disc into the record drawer of the unit. Look for the CD tray on the right side of the unit and press the "Open/Close" button. Place the blank CD into the tray and press the "Open/Close" button once more to close the tray.
- 3). Insert the disc you want to copy into the player CD tray on the left side of the CDR 20. Open the tray by pressing the "Open/Close" button to the left of it. Place the CD on the tray and hit the "Open/Close" button again to insert it.
- 4). Choose the burning speed you'd like for the copy. You can select real-time, 2x speed or 4x speed. Real-time speed means that the CD will be copied in the time that it takes to play through the entire disc; 2x speed means that the record will be copied in half the time of its actual length; 4x speeds means that the record will be copied in one-quarter the time.
- 5). Start the copy process by pressing the "Dubbing" button. Look for the button in the center of the unit. It sits right next to the "CD Sync" button. This will initialize the copy but the start up will take a few minutes. The CDR 20's display will flash updates on the recording. Press the "Play" button on the unit when both LCD displays read 01 00 : 00.
- 6). Open the right CD tray with the "Open/Close" button and take out the copied CD. Insert the disc into another CD player to test out the tracks and the sound quality. If the tracks did not copy correctly or if they skip, repeat the recording process again.
