Although the information on the date of opening has been announced, it is not yet clear whether the program will also include an list of occupation or not . The immigration occupation list includes various types of occupations and only those aspiring immigrants who hold some qualification, experience and skill under the mentioned occupations can apply under the federal skilled workers program.
The listing for the qualifying occupations is made by the National Occupational Classification or NOC and is especially based upon the various duties performed under the occupation. For the last time the list of occupation was updated on 1st July 2011. It is expected that some changes in the 2013 occupation immigration list will be made when the application acceptance process for the federal skilled worker program will be made open.

Some of the occupations listed in the NOC list include restaurant and food service managers, insurance adjusters and claim examiners, architects, biologists and related scientists, professional occupations in business management consulting, physiotherapists, dentists, pharmacists, social workers, cooks, chefs, registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses, specialist physicians, medical radiation technologists, plumbers, welders, crane operators, contractors and supervisors in carpentry trades, heavy duty mechanics, industrial electricians and a lot more.
