Walkthrough for the Game "Angry Birds" on the Phone
- The basic technique of Angry Birds is to sling birds towards animated pigs, which are protected by metal or wooden structures. To shoot a bird, touch one with your finger -- all birds are automatically loaded into the slingshot for you -- and move it to the left. The sling's rubber band can be moved up or down, allowing you to angle the bird in a specific direction. When you release your finger from the bird, it shoots toward the pigs.
- When you begin playing Angry Birds, only the first round is unlocked for play. To unlock the next round, you must successfully destroy all the pigs in the round you're currently playing. This rule remains true for the entire game; each time Angry Birds releases a new world, you must complete each round in order. Once all rounds are unlocked, you're free to jump around and replay them in any order you like.
- In addition to animated pigs, the game offers golden eggs for collection. While you do not need to successfully gather the golden eggs to complete a round, if you hit an egg with one of your birds it unlocks a bonus round. To access your bonus rounds, go back to the main menu showing all the worlds and scroll to the far right. The golden eggs world is labeled, and shows each egg you've earned. Tapping an egg shows its bonus round.
- When you complete an Angry Birds round, the more birds you have left over, the better. At the beginning of each round, you are given a set number of birds. Each one you have left when the round is complete is worth 10,000 points. Each pig you destroy is worth 5,000 points, and other pieces -- such as metal beams -- are worth 500 points. You know you've achieved a high score when you receive three stars in a round. When you get three stars in every round of a world, Angry Birds lets you know.
