How to Adjust 2005 Honda 650R Rear Suspension
- 1). Loosen the bolts on each side of the rear swing, using either a wrench or a socket. Set aside the covers after removing them.
- 2). Locate the screws holding the air box. Unscrew them, and pull the air box out. Remove the bolts at the rear to gain direct access to the adjusters of the rear suspension.
- 3). Turn the adjustment switch clockwise with a spanner wrench until your shock springs are tightened. This will significantly increase the handling of your bike but, on the other hand, will make it less comfortable. If you want to loosen the shock springs, turn these adjustments counterclockwise. This will have the opposite effect, and provide a softer ride.
- 4). Replace the air box, securing it with the screws you previously removed.
- 5). Take a quick test ride in order to observe how the shocks behave in different situations. Make any further adjustments, if necessary, by repeating the process until you achieve optimum comfort.
