Vertical Jump Program For Basketball Players - The Secrets Behind 40 Inch Verticals

1
Selecting a good vertical jump program for basketball players is not as easy as what many perceived it to be.
In fact, the secret to increasing your verticals lies in getting the right workouts that is tailored made for you.
Sure, the jump training workouts introduced and explained in different vertical jump program works but not many basketball players achieved the hops that they so wanted when they get started in a jump training program.
Every different individual and athlete has different strength and weakness.
There is no one secret workout that works for everyone.
You see, some of us may be very strong in our lower body, but because we lack the proper jumping form and our fast twitch muscles has not been trained to react, we will not be able to increase our vertical leap if the jump training workouts that we engaged in focuses on building strength into our lower body and core muscles.
Likewise, if you already possess both strength and speed in your verticals, but lack the proper form for jumping, you will not see an drastic increase in your hops even if you are crazy enough to put in 12 hours everyday working out in the gym.
The point is, a good vertical jump program should properly address a set of workouts laid down for individuals and targets the athlete's improvement zone.
In other words, it should consist of a coaching program that will address your needs and concerns, so that you can do and work on those workouts that are beneficial to you.
So what if I were to give you 100 different workouts to jump higher? Will you do all 100 workouts? More does not necessarily mean that it is good.
You will have to be realistic and go for the program that is properly laid down and follow what was taught in the program in a step by step sequential manner.
That being said, there are 3 parts to getting a 40 inch vertical.
First, you must inject some hardcore muscles into your core and legs.
This is crucial as you will need them for balance and power.
Second, you need to train your fast twitch muscles so that they can inject some explosiveness into your jump.
Third, you will need to perfect your form.
Now, a lot of people have not spoken about this and most articles just gave you tons of jumping workouts that you can use.
But your form is what matters.
Without a proper form, all the power that is generated from your jump will not be passed on properly.
In other words, if you do not have a proper jumping form, the power that you generate from your jump is being disrupted and lost every time there is a "breakage" in your form.
When that happens, you will not get the maximum vertical leap that you are actually capable of.
As such, apart from increasing your strength and speed, don't forget to also improve on your jumping form.
