How to Convert MOV Files to AVI in Windows 2000
- 1). Open an Internet browser and navigate to the Media-Convert site (see Resources).
- 2). Click “Browse” to open a file navigator.
- 3). Navigate to the MOV file to upload and click on the file. Click “OK” to save the file in the "Input Format" field.
- 4). Leave the ”Automatically Detect” option selected for the "Input File Type."
- 5). Click the second Output Format drop-down box and select “Audio Video Interleave (.avi)” from the list of available file types. Leave “No Video Presets” selected in the first Output Format box.
- 6). Click the blue “OK” button to convert the MOV file to the AVI file type. The new AVI file will be saved in the same directory where the MOV source file is stored.
- 1). Download and install IMToo Move Conversion Tool (see Resources).
- 2). Click “Start” and click “IMToo MOV Converter” to open the application.
- 3). Click the “Browse” button next to the “Destination” field and navigate to a destination folder for the new AVI file. Click “OK” to load the destination path into the application.
- 4). Click the field labeled “Please Add File(s)”. The file navigator will launch.
- 5). Navigate to and click on the MOV file to convert. Click “OK” to load the file into the application.
- 6). Click the “Convert” button on the top navigation bar to convert the file. The "Convert" button is the button with a picture of a circle. The new AVI file will be saved in the “Destination” location defined in the IMToo application.
- 1). Download and install the Rad Tools application (see Resources).
- 2). Open Rad Tools by clicking “Start” and selecting “Rad Tools" from the Programs list.
- 3). Click “Convert a File” on the main menu of the Rad Tools application. A file navigator will open.
- 4). Navigate to and click on the MOV file to convert. Click the file and then click “Play”. The codec dialog box will open.
- 5). Click “OK” and accept the default of “Full Frames (Uncompressed)” for the codec type. The MOV file will be converted to the AVI file type and saved to the same location as the original MOV file.
