• Situated in the Blue Mountains of western Tamil Nadu, Ootacamund is a popular tourist destination in southern India that is known for its colonial architecture and mild climate. • Founded in 1844, the Fernhills Palace Hotel was originally built as a private summer residence for Captain F. Cotton of the Madras Engineers Regiment, and was later converted into an exclusive club hotel.
