Many people claim to be green consumers, but I'd guesstimate that most are only a slight shade of green perhaps mixed with some other color like yellow, black, orange or purple.
Why do I make such a bold statement, shouldn't everyone be applauded for their positive actions no matter how little? If someone recycles, that is a good thing right? But is that really enough, and does someone who recycles really have the right to purport they are a green consumer or care about the environment? If someone starts talking about how green they are and telling you how green you should be, ask them a few questions, I think after you do that you might be able to get to the bottom of their sincerity and then you can decide if they are reality based, a real greenie or just another hypocritical mouth piece.
I was amazed recently, listening to a family member go on and on about how environmentally righteous they were.
When, I asked them some questions, it turns out I am three times as green as they are and I do not bother running around telling everyone about it.
I just feel that it is the right thing to do.
Are You a Green Consumer, well then may I ask; "What Shade of Green are You Today?" You see, you can tell me I am from Missouri if you want, but I say; Show Me People, don't tell me, because as soon as you do, that is indeed a telling sign.
