How to Make a Punk T-Shirt From One That Is Too Small
- 1). Cut the design from your shirt that has grown too small by using your scissors. Make a square around the entire design, including some of the originally blank material to serve as a border.
- 2). Locate a position on your new shirt where you like the design. Centering the design on the front of the shirt may be the most logical location for it, but you may find you like the design more on the back, or off-centered.
- 3). Sew the design onto your new shirt using a running stitch.
- 1). Pass your thread through the needle's eye and make a knot at the end of the thread.
- 2). Begin sewing from the inside of the shirt. This means that the knot you have made at the end of your thread will catch on the inside of the shirt, rather than on the outside where it will be visible.
- 3). Pull the needle through the front of the shirt and pass back to the inside along the border of your design.
- 4). Repeat until you have stitching holding the design against the shirt all the way around the border.
- 5). Pass the needle one last time through the shirt from the inside, but not all the way through the design. In between the two, knot the thread and cut the excess. Now your old shirt is good as new.
