How to Use a DVD Shrinker

2
    • 1). Launch the DVD Shrink program.

    • 2). Click the "Open Disc" icon in the top left corner and choose the source of the DVD you wish to pull data from.

    • 3). Allow DVD Shrink to scan the disk and make a list of the contents on the DVD.

    • 4). View the size bar located just under the top menu. If the size bar is red, this means that the contents on the DVD will be too large to fit on a regular DVD ROM. DVD Shrink automatically compresses the tracks for you.

    • 5). View the items in the left hand pane. These folders indicate the contents of the DVD.

    • 6). Click the plus sign next to these folders to view the video and audio contents. You can also view and change the compression of each video track in the right-hand pane.

    • 7). Click the "Re-Author" button if you want to only backup parts of the DVD. You can drag-and-drop the video tracks you want to backup from the right hand pane to the left hand pane. You can also change the order that these video tracks will show and set start and end frames if you want to backup certain parts of the video.

    • 8). Click the "Backup!" button to begin the video backup and compression, then choose the location on your computer where you want to save the DVD information.

    • 9). Allow DVD Shrink to compress and write the video information to your computer.
