Carnival Cruise Line Wine Policy
- The only alcoholic beverages passengers may bring onboard a Carnival Cruise Ship to consume during that cruise are wine and champagne, according to the Carnival website. The wine or champagne can be brought on inside a passenger's luggage and does not need to be checked in.
- Passengers can buy wine, champagne and other alcoholic beverages at any port and bring them onboard, but they cannot be consumed on the ship and are instead stored, then returned at the end of the cruise.
- Each passenger can bring one bottle of wine or champagne onboard at embarkation, according to the Cruise Mates website. Cruise security personnel may confiscate any additional amounts of wine passengers attempt to bring onboard.
- Wine or champagne brought onboard and consumed in the dining halls or Supper Clubs will incur a corkage fee. The fee is $10 per bottle in ship dining halls and $14 per bottle in the Supper Clubs, according to the Carnival website.
- Wine by the bottle can be purchased on the ship in the dining halls and restaurants to be consumed at that meal. The dining halls, restaurants and bars also serve wine by the glass. Some ship gift shops sell bottles of wine and champagne, but they cannot be consumed onboard.
