• Lamb crafts can be tied to farm animal lessons, nursery rhymes or lessons on the letter "L." Regardless of what you are teaching your child, lambs make great crafts to make with your child. If you are working with a classroom full of children, you can even make a herd of sheep with all the complete projects.
  
  

Handprint Lamb

• Making a handprint lamb is a great craft for preschoolers and kindergarteners alike. To create the lamb's body, help the child dip his hand into black finger paint. Press his hand firmly onto a piece of construction paper. Make sure you press his palm and fingers to get the entire hand. Once the hand print has dried, let the child glue cotton balls all over the palm of the hand to make its fuzzy body. Then use a white crayon to draw a face on the tip of the handprint's thumb to finish the lamb.
  
  

Toilet Paper Roll Lamb

• A toilet paper roll lamb is a great way to make a three-dimensional lamb and use the cardboard rolls you would usually throw away once the toilet paper is gone. To create the legs, wrap two long black pipe cleaners around the roll and twist them into place. There should be one near each end of the roll. These will be the legs for the lamb. Use glue to attach cotton balls all over the tube. Then, wad up two scraps of paper and insert them into each end of the tube. Make sure they stick out about an inch from the end of the tube. Cover one end of the tube with cotton balls. For the other end, cut a square of black felt for the lambs head and glue it over the end of the tube. Cut two small triangles out of black felt and glue them onto the head as ears. Attach two googly eyes onto the head of the lamb. Tie a thin piece of ribbon around the neck of the lamb. Finish the lamb by gluing a small black pom pom to the other end of the lamb to make a tail.
  
  

Potholder Hand Puppet

• Hand puppets are fun and easy crafts to make. The head of the puppet is made from a black square potholder. Look for potholders that have the pockets in them for your hand. Fold the potholder in half so that the pocket is on the outside of the potholder and it has been folded on the diagonal. This will be where you insert your thumb to control the bottom of the puppet. Glue two large googly eyes to the top of the folded potholder to make the lambs eyes. Glue two small pink circles that were cut out of scraps of felt onto the nose of the lamb. Also, cut a pink tongue out of felt and glue that to the inside fold of the potholder to complete it. If you'd like to add a little extra detail to the lamb, glue some cotton balls around the edge of the potholder.
