Should We Open Negotiations with the Iranian President?
Many in the political scene are discussing the question; Should we open talks, dialogues or negotiations with the Iranian President? Should be go beyond him and talk with the Supreme Rulers? The Media seems to be attacking the Bush Administration over this issue and yet how could anyone expect them to open up talks? Well James Baker III seems to be willing to sit down with the President of Iran and many other Americans have volunteered to at least talk.
I have no problem shooting the shit with the President of Iran, probably a very interesting fellow, so I volunteer if needed.
And what the hell let's play some ping-pong, as Henry Kissinger's strategy worked for a spell.
Although with Iran it might be too late and what do you say to a leader who openly supports and sponsors international terrorists and is involved in the insurgency which is killing US Troops? Syria is also ultra important to get a better feel on.
Of course the Syrians are allowing 10-international terrorist organizations to be HQ'ed in their country.
If we did open talks, well certainly we ought to talk about that issue first.
The biggest issues is that the amount of lying and BS of many leaders in that part of the world is a huge given.
It is cultural indeed and so that needs to be said.
But we have some serious lies from the past that are now killing US Troops, funding terrorists and very much hurting our interests, assets and allies.
So there is that.
So opening up talks? Okay, but do not expect much and if you cannot trust who you are talking to and realize that you may soon be at war with them, sometimes it also makes sense to either not talk or talk hardball and allow them to see your resolve and determination.
The days of trust and verify are over there, we already played that game and its re-runs.
Let them look into the eyes of the hardcore American who means what he says and says what he means; when he utters to those who wish us ill, that we will respond or pre-empt with Massive Force.
So, keep your Enemies Closer? Indeed, not such bad advice really.
The President of Iran is dangerous, he commands a million man army and is seeking to make Atomic Bombs and sponsors International Terrorists, to which he will give them to as soon as he does.
Israel will have to act eventually unilaterally if necessary to take out those underground nuke facilities, as their civilization is at risk if they do not act.
Not only in the eyes of Carl von Clauswitz, but in the reality of future events as they unfold.
I sincerely hope this article propels thought in 2007.
