Three Easy Ways to Protect Skin in Winter

46
As those winter winds begin to blow, most of us tend to stay inside as much as possible.
While it may be warm inside of your home, it isn't necessarily the best atmosphere for your skin.
There are lots of things inside of your house during the winter months that can lead to dry skin.
What's wrong with dry skin? When your skin is dry, it tends to age quickly.
So, the best anti-aging method is to make sure that skin remains moisturized.
Of course, this is difficult during the wintertime unless you know about a few things that will turn your home into a moisture drenched heaven.
The first dry skin culprit is heat.
While we can't live without heat, it will make your skin dry out faster than most other things.
To combat this problem, purchase a humidifier.
As you add moisture to the air, your skin will not dry out as quickly.
The next problem has to do with your shower.
If you run for the hot water after a brisk walk, it's time to stop this habit.
Hot water might feel good on cold skin, but it will also help your skin to age.
You see, when your skin dries out, the collagen inside of your skin begins to fade away.
If you want to keep your collagen intact, try this simple anti-aging method: take only lukewarm showers and use a good moisturizer.
This brings us to our third and final problem - moisturizer.
Most people assume that they don't need to put moisturizer on their skin if they are going to stay indoors.
This assumption couldn't be farther from the truth.
Skin must be moisturized after every bath or shower...
no matter what time of year it might be.
In fact, skin needs more moisturizer during the winter months than it does during the summer months.
Also, don't neglect to add sunscreen to your face when you go outside during the winter.
The sun is still shining brightly (even though it may not seem that way), during the winter months, which means that you have to protect your skin.
The best way to follow all of these skin rules is to get into the habit of practicing anti aging methods daily.
Make sure to moisturize, use sunscreen, keep that humidified on, and don't take hot showers.
As soon as you get used to all of these things, you will have moisturized skin that doesn't itch...
and doesn't age too quickly.
It's tricky keeping your skin from aging.
Still, there are some tried and true methods that you can use every single day.
You are stuck with your skin for the rest of your life, so why not make your skin really glow? You may hate those winter winds, but your skin still needs lots of attention...
even when you are inside of the house.
If you do venture outside, make sure to pack some sunscreen.
Even though the months may change, the fact that your skin needs to be moisturized all the time will never change - no matter how old you get!
