How to Convert TIB to VMDK Using Acronis
- 1). Open Acronis True Image Echo on the system containing the TIB file.
- 2). Click the “Tools” menu at the top of the Acronis True Image Echo window and select “Convert Backup to Virtual Disk.”
- 3). Click “Next” in the welcome window.
- 4). Browse to the TIB file on the Archive Selection screen and select it by clicking it.
- 5). Select the most recent full backup inside the TIB file by clicking a date in the Backup Date column and looking for “Type: Full” in the right pane. Click “OK” after you’ve selected the backup date
- 6). Select “VMware” or “VMware (ESX Server)” on the Virtual Disk Type Selection screen, depending on the VMware product you use, and click “Next.”
- 7). Browse to a location for your new VMDK file, provide a file name by typing it into the File Name box and click “Next.”
- 8). Review your settings and click “Proceed.” Acronis True Image Echo creates a VMDK file from your TIB file. Click “OK” after the conversion completes..
