Even Bryan Lee O'Malley seemed shocked to see how many fans came out to get their copy of Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour signed.

On a Monday night in Toronto, over 2,000 comics fans came out to Markham Street to enjoy the fun and festivities surrounding the midnight release of Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour, the sixth and final volume of Bryan Lee O'Malley's graphic novel series.

While over 150 comic shops across North America hosted midnight release parties, Only the Beguiling had O'Malley, a former Toronto native in the house.

In addition to live bands, a costume contest, video game demos, and an appearance by Ellen Wong, the actress who plays "Knives Chau" in the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World movie, there were two autograph sessions with O'Malley. Over 1,250 fans got their posters, comics and graphic novels signed by O'Malley that night, making this a nice show of support for this Canadian comics creator.
