Instructions for Wrapping a Gift Basket With Cellophane
- 1). Measure the diameter of the basket. Measure the height of the basket and multiply the number by 2. Add the two dimensions together. For example, for a basket 12 inches in diameter and 14 inches tall, multiply 14 by 2, which is 28 inches, and then add 12 and 28. The final measurement is 40 inches.
- 2). Measure, mark and cut a square of cellophane to match your final measurement -- 40 inches square in this example.
- 3). Cut a piece of 1/2-inch ribbon 18 inches long. Set it aside.
- 4). Lay the square of cellophane on a flat, smooth work surface. Place the gift basket in the center of the cellophane.
- 5). Bring the upper-right corner and the bottom-left corner up and toward the basket. Match the two points together over the top of the basket. Hold onto the points. Repeat the process with the remaining two diagonal corners.
- 6). Tie the 18-inch piece of 1/2-inch ribbon around the four corners of cellophane to hold them together. Tie a bow with the tails of the ribbon.
