How to Make a Bat File EXE
- 1). Press the Windows and "R" keys together to open the "Run" dialog box. Type "iexpress" in the box and press "Enter." The "IExpress Wizard" window appears.
- 2). Select "Create new Self Extraction Directive file" and click "Next."
- 3). Click "Extract files and run an installation command" and then click "Next."
- 4). Give your project a name. For example, you might call it "My Batch File." Click "Next" after deciding on a name.
- 5). Select "No prompt" if you want your converted BAT file to run automatically upon being double-clicked or "Prompt user with" if you want a message to be displayed. Click "Next" twice.
- 6). Click the "Add" button. Navigate to the location of the BAT file that you want to convert and double-click it. Click "Next."
- 7). Click the drop-down menu next to "Install Program" and select the BAT file that you chose in the previous step. Click "Next" three times.
- 8). Click the "Browse" button. Navigate to the location where you want the finished EXE file to be saved. Type a file name and click the "Save" button.
- 9). Click "Next" until you reach the end of the conversion process and then click "Finish." The completed EXE file is saved in the location that you selected. Double-click the EXE file to run it.
