• Saleen oval exhaust tips are designed for the Heritage Edition and Parnelli Jones special edition Mustangs, which also feature a special rear valance to allow the larger tips to fit. As such they are not intended for Mustangs other than these two special editions, though the tips can be made to fit other models. The tip is 7-inches wide and will not fit through the valance of a stock Mustang GT.

• Edelbrock sells the Saleen oval tips on their website. You can also find Saleen exhaust tips on eBay, where there is usually a selection of new and used tips. The tips usually range in price from around $70 to as much as $120.
  
  

Installation and care of Saleen tips

• As mentioned above, because of their large size, Saleen tips will not fit on a Mustang GT without the Saleen special edition rear valance, which features larger openings for the tips. This valance needs to be painted and installed by a professional body shop for the best results. Installation of the tips themselves is relatively simple. Slide the tips onto the existing exhaust pipe and then tighten the supplied clamps until the tips are securely fastened. Regularly wash the tips with soap and water and polish them with metal polish to keep them looking new.
