Penguins
Gramado Zoo has plenty of water where animals can take a splash and feed.
Rio Grande do Sul, where Gramado Zoo, is the southernmost Brazilian state - and the closest to penguins' natural habitats such as Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia. Sadly, penguins occasionally wash ashore Brazil's beaches due to man-caused problems such as overfishing, which forces them to swim greater distances in order to feed.
