How to Stop Your Bulldogs From Fighting
- 1). Have your bulldogs neutered by your veterinarian. This may reduce aggression caused by hormones.
- 2). Show your bulldogs that you are the pack leader. Do not let your dogs sleep on your bed or jump on furniture. Make them sit before you give them food or affection.
- 3). Walk your bulldogs together daily to burn off excess energy. If your dogs will not walk without fighting, ask someone to join you, and walk one dog while you walk the other. Walk slightly in front of the bulldogs to show you are pack leader.
- 4). Watch your bulldogs to discover which dog is instigating the fights. If one dog attacks, take it by the collar, and pin it down on its side in a submissive position. Hold the bulldog down until it has submitted. Listen for a sigh, which signals that the dog is relaxed. Be patient and determined because of the bulldog's stubborn nature. Muzzle each dog to prevent your or your bulldogs from getting bitten during this exercise.
