How to Make a Flower Vase With the Use of Coconut Shells
- 1). Saw the coconut in half. The juice will leak out when you cut the meat, so do this outside or over a tray.
- 2). Bake the coconut at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. This will cause the meat to separate from the shell.
- 3). Pry the meat from the shell. It should come out in several large pieces.
- 4). Saw 2 inches off the cut edge of one half of the coconut to make a base for the vase.
- 5). Set the ring on the table with the large side down. Set the uncut half of the coconut shell in this ring to make the vase.
- 6). Cut a block of floral foam that will fit securely into the vase.
- 7). Soak the foam according to the package directions. Place the foam in the coconut shell vase and arrange your flowers in the foam.
