How to Identify Massey Tractors
- 1). Take a picture of the tractor with a camera. You can keep the picture in the camera, print it out on your printer or go to a photo kiosk at a store such as Walmart.
- 2). Show the picture to a tractor a relative, friend or tractor dealer to see if they can tell you what type or model of Massey tractor it is.
- 3). Compare the picture with the one found in a book for Massey tractors. Try the "Big Book of Massey Tractors" by Robert Pripps or the "Encyclopedia of America Farm Tractors" by C.H. Wendel (see Resources).
- 4). Write down any numbers or letters found on the tractor. This can include numbers found on the engine, an attachment such as a plow, the tires or other parts on the tractor.
- 5). Type the numbers found on the tractor parts into a search engine online, such as Google. If you can find a description of the part, it should include the model of tractor, as well.
- 6). Take or send the information, along with a picture, to an antique tractor dealer to see if they can identify the model of Massey tractor.
