Lamborghini to develop the first exotic SUV
In this day and age it's fair to say all SUV's have large bodies but an unbelievable amount of these vehicles have become lean, quick and able to pivot on a dime. We can use the exotic Mercedes-Benz63 AMG and the 2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo that may not be the ideally suited track toy but seriously who wouldn't want one? If those two German beasts don't get a rise out of you what if those beasts came out of Italy? Hmm…
A United Kingdom (UK) based publication ‘Autocar' bolstered it's reports from the Italian Magazine ‘Quattroruote that the Lamborghini SUV is very much a living and breathing project coming out of the small town of Sant' Agata. However, no one person could accurately predict what stage of development this exotic SUV is actually in but Lamborghini will be unveiling this beast primarily as a concept car at the Beijing Auto Show around this April. Autocar contacted a Lamborghini spokesperson who did the typical ‘yes but no' answer, citing that all of the present reports and rumors at this point are simply speculations being brought on by Lamborghini enthusiasts. Unlike the magazine we believe that the SUV is more than a concept car at this point but with how hostile the automotive industry is right now I couldn't imagine any real solid evidence being released until just before the unveiling, remember the Chevy Volt, not a murmur until they were close to the line. Now this is obviously for a good reason, when we had visited the CEMA convention the first thing we noticed was when the Chevy Volt was unveiled there were seventeen Chinese men crammed in and around the vehicle taking snap-shots of every nook and cranny, so we expect something out of China very soon now I guess. However the spokesperson did say;
Now some may absolutely loathe the concept of the world's first exotic four by'in, mud slinging Lambo but fortunately it is a needed step if this Italian automotive manufacturer wants to compete or increase their market value and profits. It is safe to assume that building this SUV wouldn't be the hardest thing for Lamborghini could easily pull one of it's powertrain selections from it's German based mother company the Volkswagen Group. We had heard about this rumor from one of our guys in the sales department for our exotic rental company and since then have made it priority to see if this story had any legs or not. His source inside the Volkswagen Group had said the exotic SUV would likely be similar to the Porsche Cayenne system and style lines fully equipped with a V-12 and all.
In the same instance they could go the way of using the Gallardo's 5.2-liter V-10 engine, spewing out an insane 500 horse power (hp) but in an SUV that estimate would be more static. If you're a hippy, or simply environment minded you'll be pleased to know that this vehicle will most likely make it's way toward some sort of pseudo hybrid power plant or maybe even an outsourced Audi TDI engine. We hope to add this to one of our fleet as an exotic car rental.

"There is a lot of speculation about what it will be," the spokesperson said about a model launch in the Beijing show. "As there are no plans to build the Estoque saloon, people are speculating that there will be an SUV – but nothing is confirmed."
