- 1). Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB port on your video camera, and insert the other end into the USB port on your computer.
- 2). Turn on the video camera, and use the "Settings" menu to put the device into "USB Mode." Check with your camera's user manual if you are unsure of the specific steps for your individual model.
- 3). Click "Start," "All Programs," then click "Live Windows Movie Maker" in the menu that appears. Click the "External Camera" option on the menu bar, and the image from the camera will appear on the screen.
- 4). Insert one end of the HDMI or VGA cable into the port on the side of your computer. If you are using VGA, secure the screws on either side of the cable.
- 5). Plug the other end of the cable into the "HDMI IN" or "VGA IN" port on the projector's input panel. Click "Start" on your computer, and type "projector" into the "Search" field. Click the "Connect To a Projector" option, and click "Projector Only" to begin sending video through the output port.
- 6). Point the projector at the desired viewing area, and press the "Input" button until the image from the computer's screen appears on the projector.
