University of New Hampshire

• The University of New Hampshire offers fee waivers for up to two courses per academic year for seniors over the age of 65 who are not in a degree program. This waiver does not apply for non-credit courses or workshops and covers only tuition, not any other fees that may occur. The applicant must be 65 or older by or on the first day of the term in which they wish to take the class and must register no sooner than two weeks before the start of term. This gives other students priority registration.
  
  

Plymouth State University

• Plymouth University also offers seniors the opportunity to take courses without paying tuition. Senior citizens who are 65 or older may be eligible to take one course per term free of charge. This counts for both undergraduate and graduate courses but does not cover fees, -- only tuition -- and is not for those pursuing a degree in a degree program.
  
  

Granite State College

• Granite State College offers a limited number of tuition waivers to senior citizens. With a tuition waiver, you can take a course for college credit. Students are limited to one waiver per term and may receive no more than four waivers per year; fees must still be paid by the student. The college also offers Senior Audits if you do not wish to take a course for college credit. Audited courses will not be able to be counted towards a degree but are taken for personal knowledge and experience. You may still be asked to pay a technology or materials fee.
  
  

New Hampshire Community Colleges

• Many community colleges in New Hampshire offer half tuition waivers on a space-available basis to senior citizens. This means that you will only pay half the tuition for the courses you take under this plan.
