How to Install a Print Head on a PIXMA iP6600D
- 1). Turn on your PIXMA iP6600D printer.
- 2). Flip down the paper output tray and lift up the top cover.
- 3). Look for a slit in the new print head packaging near one of the corners. Grasp the corner and pull down along this slit to tear the packaging open and unwrap the print head.
- 4). Pull the orange protective cap from the bottom of the print head. Set it aside for disposal.
- 5). Lift the print head locking lever, located on the left side of the print head holder inside your iP6600D.
- 6). Align the print head with the holder cavity---the electrical components on the back facing the inside of the holder---and then lower the print head into the holder.
- 7). Return the locking lever to its original position and press down on it to secure the print head in the holder and complete the print head installation.
