Safety Tips That May Save Your Life

1
Women seem to be the targets of violence much more frequently than men-almost 9 to 10 times more often.
Assaults happen to women: in the home with domestic violence; in parking lots when shopping; and at the workplace with greater regularity than other locations Domestic violence which has been around forever has received a lot of press and well-meaning talk but the statistics are still the same.
Here are some tips for both men and women that may save your life and help keep you out of trouble.
1.
If you are attacked, learn to react rapidly.
Assailants don't usually expect any resistance.
So if you decide to fight back, which we recommend, do so quickly and decisively and your assailant may flee with his tail between his legs.
2.
Fight back.
Again the assailant doesn't expect any resistance so when you fight back you're liable to get the upper hand quickly.
If you are using a pepper spray, a shot in the face will get him to back off real fast.
If you don't have a self-defense product shame on you! A poke in the eye or a jab in the throat will make him think twice about pursuing you any further.
3.
Develop a survival mindset.
When you are assaulted your first responsibility is to escape.
That may mean engaging the target.
If you do engage your assailant, do everything you can to gain the upper hand.
There are no style points and no extra points for being nice.
Fighting dirty is not only encouraged but may be necessary.
4.
Use common sense.
Avoid dangerous situations and dangerous places.
Women especially have tremendously sensitive survival instincts.
Learn to trust them and as we say, it is better to look foolish for 2 minutes than to be sorry for the rest of your life.
5.
Make sure you carry a self-defense product with you wherever you go.
We always recommend something that's on a keychain because that way it's more likely to be with you all the time and it's easier to find in your purse because it is with your keys.
Almost all pepper sprays have keychain attachments.
Those are some safety tips that may save your life and will help keep you out of trouble.
Follow them and your life will be a little less stressful because you won't worry about your safety and security as much.
