  The ASUS P5VD2-MX SE motherboard is designed for performance-enhancing tuning, and supports dual-core processors, 64-bit computing and up to 15 different interface types. Basic Features

• The motherboard has a Micro ATX form factor, and measures 9.6 inches wide, with a depth of 7.2 inches. It is compatible with 64-bit, dual core processors such as the Pentium D, Celeron 400 sequence, Core 2 Extreme, Celeron D, Pentium Dual Core and Pentium 4.
  
  Serial ATA-150 and ATA-133 are used as storage keys, and the motherboard can support a data bus speed of up to 1066.0 megahertz. A four-pin ATX12V connector and 20-pin main power connector are included.
  
  

Video, Audio, Memory and Networking

• A VIA UniChrome Pro graphics controller, with shared video memory, is used. Audio output is achieved using a sound card, with 5.1 channel surround sound and a Realtek ALC660 audio codec. The motherboard supports up to two GB of DDR2 SDRAM. A Realtek RTL8201CL Ethernet network adapter is installed.
  
  

Expansion and Interfaces

• Four audio interfaces are installed: a generic six-pin, VGA 34-pin, line-out RJ45 and a 25-pin D-Sub. Interfaces are included for a mouse and keyboard, processor and memory. Eight USB ports are available.
  
  

Additional Features

• The motherboard features an ASUS EZ Flash capability that allows users to update the BIOS before entering the operating system. ASUS CrashFree BIOS 2 helps users restart the computer properly in the event of a crash. ASUS CPU Lock Free boosts system performance by allowing the CPU multiplier to be increased, up to 14x. The ASUS MyLogo feature lets users change the appearance of the computer's boot screen.
