How to Automatically Remove Cache History & Recent Documents
- 1). Open Mozilla Firefox and click "Tools" and then "Options.
- 2). Click on the "Privacy" panel.
- 3). Select "Use custom settings for history" from the "Firefox Will" menu.
- 4). Check the box next to "Clear history when Firefox closes."
- 5). Click on "Settings."
- 6). Check the box next to "Cache," and click "OK."
- 1). Open the Internet Explorer Web browser.
- 2). Click on the "Safety" menu in the upper right corner.
- 3). Click "Delete Browsing History."
- 4). Uncheck the box next to "Preserve Favorite website data."
- 5). Check the boxes next to "Temporary Internet Files," "Cookies" and "History," and then click "Delete."
- 1). Click on the "Start" menu, and then click "Run."
- 2). Type "regedit" (without the quotation marks) into the open box and click "OK." The Registry Editor will open.
- 3). Find the following registry key in the left pane of the Registry Editor and click on it.
"HKEY_Current_User \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \Policies\Explorer" - 4). Right click on the white space in the right pane of the Registry Editor and select "New," and then "DWORD Value."
- 5). Type "ClearRecentDocsOnExit" under "Value Name," and then "1" under "Value Data," and then click "OK."
