Instructions for the Game "Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast"
- 1). Get familiar with the interface. Your health and force energy levels are displayed in the circular icon on the bottom left side of the screen, while the ammo counter is on the bottom right side of the screen. Although force energy recharges over time, you'll need to keep track of how much you have left.
- 2). Select the right weapon and know the functionality of each weapon. In the single player, there will be times when your weapon options will be limited. For instance, at the beginning of the game, the single shot blaster will be your primary weapon for the first few levels. The single shot blaster does little damage and is only effective at close range. As you'll be dealing with multiple enemies with better fire power, a more effective strategy is to use stealth to get closer to your enemies when using the single shot blaster. Semi and automatic blasters do more damage, but their accuracy degrades when you use rapid fire. Switch weapons and tactics accordingly based on the amount of enemies, their weapons and the layout of the environment.
- 3). Use agility and combine your movement abilities with your force powers. Special force power such as force speed and force jump can be used to evade incoming projectiles and slow opponents. In multiplayer, it is not uncommon to see players using force speed and force jump constantly to avoid getting hit.
- 4). Learn to use the lightsaber. The lightsaber is the most powerful and useful weapon in the game. Pressing the attack button will swing the lightsaber once. Pressing the attack button multiple times will do a fast lightsaber combo. Pressing the alternate attack button will force throw the lightsaber, which results in instant death to stormtroopers in single player and is a good way to steal kills or damage multiple players in multiplayer. Use your agility and other force powers in conjunction with lightsaber attacks to be most effective.
