Hot Tampa Car Rental for a Vacation for My Girl
Well, my girl did it. She talked me into a vacation. She has been working super hard at her family's home builder's business. She wears many hats, two of which are realtor and office manager. And she's tired. Can't say I blame her. So she said she wanted to go to Tampa. I'm not quite sure why, but what baby wants, baby gets.
And the minute I said yes, she got on her computer and booked our flight and Tampa car rental. She was on a mission—a mission to have some fun in the sun. Now, she handles all the money since I'd rather not worry about it, but I did ask her how much this was going to cost me.
Oh she laughed. And then I laughed because my baby is all about the bargains. If anyone could score a deal it is her. So she told me exactly how she saved us money.
To save on airfare, she went straight to Southwest.com. No fussing with other airlines. Southwest has the best rates. Plus, we get rewards which is nice.
And for our Tampa car rental, she used U-Save Car & Truck Rental. We are members of the U-Save Club. She got us a rental for under $100 bucks for the week. That's a pretty sweet deal if you ask me. Her family uses U-Save for their car rentals all the time. And apparently it's because they're the most affordable.
And for lodging…well, that's not going to cost us very much. Baby's family has a time share at the Westin Tampa Harbour Island. So we're just paying for a portion of the maintenance fee to help out. I did get online to check it out and it's pretty sweet. An oversized king bed and several restaurants within walking distant sounds good.
Baby will probably spend most of her time at the beach or shopping. I can't say I won't be on the beach. Looking at her in her swimsuit is worth the torture in the heat. But I'm hoping she'll come with me to Tampa Bay Downs. I love a good horse race. Oh, she likes betting on the horses too. She picks the one with the cutest name to win.
This trip won't be bad. I'm looking forward to not working and sleeping in as much as I want. I know baby will want to get a good tan.
