The Dallas zoo is one of the most popular attractions in the city. It is the oldest zoo in Texas and a must visit for all tourists. The zoo is divided into different sections like the Zoo North, the Wilds of Africa and the Lacerte Family Children's Zoo. Founded in 1888, the zoo houses different species of animals from all over the world and is a wonderful place to visit.

Many of the animals have been kept in their natural habitats which have been created artificially. One will get to see the kangaroos, giraffe, elephants, zebras, okapis, mandrills etc. In this section one can also go on a ride on the safari monorail which takes the visitors on a tour of all the animals.
