How to Keep Crickets for Fishing
- 1). Either buy or build you a cricket bin. If building one make it about 4 foot by 2 foot. Build a lid either using screen or drilling holes all in the top to allow air circulation.
- 2). Crickets like to bundle and hide therefore take egg cartons, toilet paper rolls, and paper towel rolls and lay all around in different positions in the bottom of your bin. This will also make it easier to catch the crickets when needed.
- 3). Add a heat lamp to run during the cold or at night. They like to stay warm so try to keep the bin at a warm temperature.
- 4). Slice up whole potatoes into fours and place them all around the bin. This will supply food for your crickets.
- 5). Place a small container in a bottom corner to keep water for them.
- 6). Place your crickets and your ready to go. Check food and water every other day.
