How to Make Simple Bead Jewelry
- 1). Cut a length of wire the desired length of the necklace. Attach one side of the jewelry clasp to one end: Thread on a crimp to the wire; then put the wire through the loop of the clasp and the end back through the hole in the crimp, making a small loop. Press the crimp tightly with the crimping pliers so that it secures the loop close to the clasp.
- 2). Thread on beads in the desired pattern. A simple string of river pearls is an elegant design or large, colored wooden beads for something a little funky. Delicate crystal beads are always a girlie favorite.
- 3). Attach the other portion of the clasp to the open end of the wire once all the beads are on. Use a crimp in the same way as you attached the first side of the clasp.
- 1). Find two pear-shaped beads, around 1/2 inch long. Cut two pieces of wire, around 1 inch long.
- 2). Place a crimp on the very end of the wire pieces, clamping them shut with the crimping pliers. Thread the pear-shaped bead onto the wire, with the heavy end sitting on the crimp.
- 3). Thread a second crimp onto the wire at the top; then loop the wire through the bottom loop on an earring hook. Thread the wire back down through the crimp; thread back any remaining wire into the bead to hide it.
- 4). Press the crimp with the crimping pliers close to the loop on the earring hook to secure the bead to the hook. Repeat with the other bead and wire.
- 1). Find coin pearls, around 1/4 inch wide, and small silver beads, about 1/10 inch wide.
- 2). Cut a piece of wire long enough to go around the wrist.
- 3). Attach one side of a jewelry clasp to one end of the wire. Thread on a silver bead first, then a pearl disk, another silver bead and a pearl disk. Continue this pattern until you reach the other side, finishing with a silver bead.
- 4). Attach the other side of the jewelry clasp to the end of the wire to finish the bracelet.
