DIY Home Built Animal Traps
- 1). Loop one end of a thin 12-inch-long rope around your left index finger and tie two simple knots, and then slip your finger out of the loop. To tie a simple knot, cross the rope over itself once its looped around your finger, tuck the end of the rope into the loop, and then pull the end of the rope away from the loop. A simple knot is basically the same knot you start with when tying your shoe laces.
- 2). Slip the opposite end of the rope through the loop and away until you have a fist-sized loop left on that side of the rope.
- 3). Tie the loop-less end of the rope to a sturdy branch near a rabbit run using two simple knots to tie the rope.
- 4). Open the fist-sized loop over the rabbit run resting the rope on a branch at either end of the rabbit run. When a rabbit runs through the rabbit run, it will go through the fist-sized loop and get caught.
