How to Make a Beaded Bracelet for a Kids' Activity
- 1). Gather beads of varying colors and shapes. Younger children will have an easier time with beads that have larger holes, while older children can have smaller holes. Having a wide variety of beads allows children the chance to be more creative.
- 2). Measure each child's wrist, and cut string or flexible wire long enough to fit each child's wrist. The lengths should be just long enough to fit comfortably around the child's wrist, but not so small that it will be difficult to remove.
- 3). Have the child choose a larger bead, pull the string through the bead and tie a knot around it near the end of the string. This will be the starter bead for the bracelet.
- 4). Have the child choose beads of varying colors and shapes or the same color and shape and thread them on to the string. When the child has enough beads, tie the open end of the bracelet to the starter bead.
