Soft Reset

• 1). Locate the "Reset" button. It is located on the right side of the device and is the button that is too small for a human finger to press.
  
  
• 2). Press the tip of the stylus against the "Reset" button. The device resets.
  
  
• 3). Wait for the device to boot normally. When the "Today" screen appears, test to see if the performance issues are resolved.
  
  

Hard Reset

• 1). Tap "Start," then tap "Settings."
  
  
• 2). Tap the "System" tab, then tap the "Clear Storage" icon.
  
  
• 3). Type the numbers or words indicated on the screen. Tap "Yes" when prompted and the device resets. Wait until the "Today" screen appears, then test to see if the issues are resolved.
