Activities

• The areas surrounding Faqra offer visitors plenty of opportunities.
  
  The Faqra ruins, limestone formations known as "houses of ghosts," are the temples of Qalaat Faqra. The ruins are the most extensive Roman ruins in Mount Lebanon. The temples include a tower restored by Roman Emperor Claudius in 43 AD, and a small temple that was once dedicated to the Syrian goddess, and made into a church in the fourth century.
  
  For the hiker, Jisr El Hajar is a natural bridge carved by wind and water to explore.
