How to Send Files From a Network Drive to the Recycle Bin on a C Drive

    • 1). Access the network drive that contains the file you wish to delete. If the drive is mapped, you can double-click it after clicking "Start" and "Computer." If not, you can click "Start" and type "\\" followed by the UNC path to your drive.

    • 2). Locate the file you wish to send to your Recycle Bin and click on it. This will select the file and highlight it.

    • 3). Press "Ctrl+X" on your computer's keyboard to cut the file and place it on the Windows clipboard.

    • 4). Right-click on your desktop and click "Paste" to place the file on your local desktop.

    • 5). Press "Delete" and click "Yes" when Windows verifies that you want to delete the file. The file is now in your Recycle Bin, ready to be permanently deleted or restored at your command.
