EJ tries to get the ladies to quiet down. Nicole then pours a glass of wine, then remarks how she wouldn’t let her dog drink it. EJ states that it’s very good. “Compared to what? Motor oil?” snarks Nicole after she takes a sip. Sami affirms that EJ’s not going to represent her. Mickey approaches the table and advises EJ against it and summons him away. “Well, here’s to cheap women, and everything that comes with em’,” toasts Sami.
Nicole returns to the table with another drink (surprise, surprise) and claims that Sami should be thanking her for hiring EJ.
“Thanking you? I should be insulting you,” responds Sami. Nicole claims she’s just trying to help Sami’s husband earn some money. The ladies continue to exchange insults about wardrobe. Maggie approaches the bickering enemies and tells them to keep it down, warning them that they are wearing out their welcome.
Elsewhere, Mickey warns EJ that Nicole is a tyrant. EJ believes she’s harmless and just talks a tough game, but underneath it all she’s a pussycat. Mickey reminds EJ how Nicole tried to have Victor murdered, which is a red flag. EJ is not one to turn down a challenge. After all, if he can deal with his father then he can surely deal with Nicole Kiriakis. Mickey asks him to at least have a talk with Sami first, suggesting that she can talk some sense into him. EJ appreciates Mickey’s concern, but he’s not really in a position to turn down work right now. Mickey predicts that when Nicole is through slicing and dicing Victor, then she’ll set her sights on someone else.
“Who do you have to sleep with to get another Vodka Martini?” asks Nicole as she tries to flag down a waiter.
Sami is on the phone with Caroline, who fills her in on the twins. Nicole then asks if she has any pictures of the “little rugrats." She remarks how weird and freakish it is that the twins have different fathers. “Shut the hell up, Nicole!” demands Sami. Nicole continues to push her buttons on the two different fathers ordeal. A furious Sami stands up and declares that she’s had enough. EJ plays peacemaker and tells Sami to take a deep breath while he has a chat with Nicole.
EJ takes Nicole aside and warns her to stop insulting his wife if she wants him to take her case. Nicole is eager to get started and is confident that he will accept her case. “Whatever Nicole wants, Nicole gets,” she shrugs. EJ questions what happens if Nicole doesn’t get what she wants, suggesting that she might try to have him eliminated. Nicole innocently claims that she wouldn’t take another person out. Nicole then notices Mickey, Maggie, and Sami watching them like hawks and surmises that Sami’s jealous. EJ states that he and Sami trust each other. “Sami doesn’t trust anyone,” counters Nicole, who then brings up what a good-looking guy EJ is with a charming accent. “What the hell are you doing with Sami? Did you lose a bet or something?” she inquires.
Meanwhile, a fuming Sami wonders why he’s still talking to her. Nicole informs EJ how Sami accused Lucas of hitting Will many years ago, which drove Lucas straight to the bottle. She brings up how Will is living in Switzerland with Austin and Carrie because he can’t stand to live in the same country with his own mother. Sami approaches them and throws a drink in Nicole’s face. Nicole yells for a napkin and storms off. EJ suggests that it was a tiny bit inappropriate, but Sami disagrees. She is outraged that EJ said yes to Nicole and seethes how she manipulates people. EJ implores her to sit down with him and asks why she cares so much.
Sami recalls how Nicole dated Eric, who fell hard for her. EJ surmises that Nicole can’t be that bad if Eric liked her. “He doesn’t like her now. Not after she dumped him for Lucas,” she reveals. Sami drops a big bomb on EJ when she further reveals that Nicole married Lucas for five million dollars, thanks to Kate. Sami attests that Nicole screws with people’s lives and doesn’t want to see EJ get hurt and doesn’t want to see Johnny put in the middle of it. EJ apologizes, but has made his decision. Nicole proposes they celebrate, much to Sami’s chagrin. EJ pulls Sami away and reminds her that he doesn’t tell her how to run her life. “We are married, for now! And I have a say in this!” huffs Sami. EJ rambles how they need income and have two children to support. Sami continues to protest against it and fumes how she despises Nicole. EJ rehashes how they’ve both had an unsavory past, and they’ve both changed, so it’s possible that Nicole has changed as well. EJ reminds Sami of how many second chances she’s been given and offers to find Nicole another attorney if it becomes a problem. “No deal EJ. It’s either her or me,” refuses Sami. Nicole interrupts and apologizes to Sami. “Are you smoking something?” questions an incredulous Sami. Nicole claims she’s willing to forget the past if Sami is, which EJ believes is a wonderful idea. “I think it sounds like another one of her dirty little tricks,” states Sami. EJ is convinced that Nicole wants to make amends. Nicole offers to try to find someone else to take her case, then walks away. EJ goes after her and calls out her name. “I would be delighted to take your case,” he says, to Sami’s dismay. They shake hands on the deal. After a peeved Sami walks away, EJ warns Nicole that she’ll be looking for a new attorney if she does anything else to jeopardize his relationship with Sami.
Back at the Kiriakis mansion, a frantic Chloe desperately tries to get ahold of her lawyer as the consulate officers insist that she needs to come with them. Chloe begs them for just one more call. Philip arrives just in time and demands to know what the hell the officers are doing. The officers take her away as Philip urges her not to say a word. Phil promises Chloe that he will fix it.
Philip later makes a call to his lawyer warning him that if they don’t do something, then Chloe will be facing extradition. After he hangs up, Philip flashes back to Chloe sharing her fears about going to prison before Nicole entered the room. He suspects Nicole of ratting Chloe out.
