Three Things Hiding in Your Toilet That Adelaide Plumbers Won T Tell You About

35
During their job, Adelaide plumbers see a lot of crazy things. It may be a blockage the size of a car or an intricate system or pipes that have burst all in a row. While experienced plumbers say they have seen it all, it appears toilet users are in for a bit of a shock. As children weEUR(TM)ve seen tails of mutant ninja turtles that utilise the sewer system to get around, however, once we got older we never believe things could come up our drains. The following three stories will probably give you nightmares, so donEUR(TM)t continue reading if youEUR(TM)d prefer to be blissfully unaware when you visit the toilet.

  • Frogs

When youEUR(TM)re sitting on the toilet taking care of business, the last thing you expect to see is a frog. However, unfortunately here in Australia this is apparently not an uncommon occurrence. As amphibians, frogs must live close by to water and enjoy residing in damp places. While most of us wouldnEUR(TM)t dream of hanging out in a sewer, it is a damp place that frogs actually enjoy staying in. Just like the ninja turtles, frogs can burst out of toilet after making their way up the pipes. There have been countless frog sittings and calls to plumbers in not only Adelaide but across the world. Frogs in the toilet are more common in tropical areas so places like Cuba and Puerto Rico are also renowned for frog toilet visitors.
  • Lizards

Did you know that lizards also like splashing around in our sewers and pipes? Just like frogs, they too like the water and visit homes in ubranised areas to find water and of course crickets. While a little lizard may give you a surprise, you may not think there is much to worry about, however, this next story will make you too scared to go to the toilet for weeks. In Norway, it was reported that a three year old boy and his mother were greeted by a very dangerous intruder in their toilet. The young boy raced into the bathroom with his mother in tow to show her how his potty training was going. However, no one knew it would actually be a test on his motherEUR(TM)s ability not to wet herself in fear. When they lifted the lid, sitting inside their toilet were two large black and yellow Tejus. This type of lizard is a very dangerous South American carnivorous lizard that eats flesh. Luckily for the boy, his mother was there and they remained unharmed.

  • Possums

This next visitor to your bathroom isnEUR(TM)t slimy, cold blooded or like water. Surprisingly, there are stories of baby possums finding their way up your drain and into your toilet. While possums are known for usually keeping away from humans, there are a number of cases of them getting into homes through plumbing fixtures. Several homeowners have told stories of opening up their toilet bowl to find a wet and frightened looking baby possum sitting inside it.
So, there you have it, three reasons to check the toilet before you sit down. In the unlikely even that you are greeted with a special visitor when you go to use the humble abode, the best thing to do is to call the animal control and then experienced Adelaide plumbers.
