How to Make a Wedding Bouquet With a Ribbon Skirt on the Handle

3
    • 1). Choose flowers that are not incredibly delicate, like roses. They’ll need to endure some manhandling and still look pretty and fresh. The bride will need between 30 and 60 flowers for the bridal bouquet, and between 20 and 40 flowers for each bridesmaid bouquet.

    • 2). Remove any extra foliage, including thorns, from the flower stems and remove any flower petals that are wilting. Cut approximately two inches of stem off of the bottom, cutting at an angle.

    • 3). Arrange four flowers at the same height to create a square. Then place all of the other flowers, one by one, around the center square creating a dome.

    • 4). Bind the stems four inches underneath the flower tops using floral tape. Bind in the same way two inches up from the bottom of the stems.

    • 5). Cut the bottom of the stems to make them all the same length. Dry stems thoroughly with a paper towel.

    • 6). Stick one end of ribbon into the top piece of floral tape and wrap the ribbon downward around the stems. When the bottom of the stems are reached, tuck the other end of the ribbon into the top piece of floral tape. The ribbon can be kept in place with a few pins by pushing them through the ribbon and into the flower stems.

    • 7). Add a bow to the bouquet handle by cutting an extra piece of ribbon and tying it around the stems, directly under the flower tops.
