Skeptics, Conspiracy Theorists, and Climate Change Considered
Many folks have chosen to see Global Warming as a new religion, okay fine, in the US we have the freedom of religion, however, that doesn't change the reality or facts on the topic of climate science.
You see, as one famous quote says; "everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts.
" Now then, apparently the Global Warming Alarmists miss that quote along the lines somewhere, and yet, isn't that what they are telling all of their skeptics, that they (the alarmists) are right, own the facts, and everyone else is merely spouting opinion.
Okay so, we know that's what's happening, and let me refer you to an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal on November 5, 2011 titled; "Global Temperatures: All Over The Map," by Carl Bialik.
He cites a recent report by PhD Berkeley Physics Professor Richard Mueller, which came to the conclusion after looking at all the data, that the climate has warmed approximately 1.
6 degrees over the last 60-years, with a margin for error of plus, or minus 1.
5%, meaning it could be zero or something to that effect is how I read the data.
Anyway, you can imagine running a think tank certainly gets one into the heart of the debate rather quickly.
Now then, if the whole global warming issue - isn't an issue at all, why are we changing our entire society over it? Such a small and irrelevant change in overall ambient temperatures over the land mass should not be used as a weapon for those who'd like to hijack the energy sector away from the market incumbents.
Today, we have relatively cheap energy, why destroy our energy infrastructure, blame humans for the planet warming, and move to non-reliable energy which is less-efficient than fossil fuels? Which I might add is exactly what's been happening.
So, that needs to stop and we must work on a solid energy policy for the United States.
I mean, is all this global warming alarmism, that societies, nations, and human existence will collapse real? No, certainly not, still, there is a political push to "change everything" with regards to energy.
But I ask why? So some billionaires can hijack the energy sector, or so environmentalist do-gooders can finally use the media to get the mindless masses to destroy our energy infrastructure with the help of their governments? We have a severe challenge on our hands with the environmentalists, they've been emboldened by all this, but your average environmentalist just doesn't have the facts.
Of course, that shouldn't surprise us because obviously the scientific community has been hijacked to, to even purport such visions of doom and gloom.
Please consider all this.
