How to Input Data by Downloading From Wells Fargo Into QuickBooks 2010

    • 1). Launch QuickBooks 2010. Click “Banking” in the main menu. Select “Online Banking” followed by “Setup Account for Online Access” in the context menu. Click “Yes” in the dialog box when QuickBooks asks to close all windows temporarily. This launches the Setup Account for Online Services dialog box.

    • 2). Click the drop-down arrow button. Select “New” to setup a new account in QuickBooks, or select an existing account. For example, choose “Checking” or “Business Credit Card.” Click the “Next” button. Type your account details, including the account name and account number, into the applicable input boxes. Click the “Save and Close” button.

    • 3). Enter “Wells Fargo” in the “Select Financial Institution” input field. Click “Next.” Select “Wells Fargo Banking & Bill Pay (Direct Connect)” from the connection method drop-down list. Click the “OK” button.

    • 4). Click and select the radio button beside “I Have My Special QuickBooks Online Services Wells Fargo PIN.” Click the “Next” button. Enter your Wells Fargo customer ID, which is your Social Security number, into the “Customer ID” field. Type your Wells Fargo PIN code into both the “Password” and the “Confirm Password” fields. Click the “Sign In” button to launch the Online Banking Center window. Click the “Activate Online Bill Payments” check box if you want to pay bills online. Select “Finish” to complete the setup procedure.

    • 5). Click “Banking," then "Online Banking, "then "Online Banking Center" and then "Send and Receive Transactions.” Enter your PIN code into the input field to download transactions to QuickBooks. Wait for the transaction file to download.

    • 6). Click the “Add Transactions to QuickBooks” button to open the Add Transactions window. Select each transaction that you want to add to the QuickBooks account you selected in Step 3; then click the “Add to QuickBooks” button.
